Joe Flanigan, the "Stargate Atlantis" actor, has reportedly put his Malibu, Calif., home on the market asking $6.99 million for the property.

The Los Angeles Times broke news of the listing noting that Christopher Cortazzo of Coldwell Banker as marketing the property.

Public records show that Flannigan bought the home in December 2006 for $3.68 million. The home first came on the market Oct. 8 for $5.99 million but just two days later, the price was upped by a full million dollars.

The residence is a 2,722-square-foot single-family house that is comprised of four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The home is a two-story estate that encompasses two lots that total about 14 acres of land. Interiors of the ranch-style home feature hardwood flooring, wood-beamed ceilings and large glass doors and windows.

The open floor plan of the house contains a workshop, an art studio, a utility room, a music room, an office and a bonus room apart from the usual living spaces.

Outside, the residence has rolling manicured greens, a pool with a spa, an open patio, two detached guest cottages and ample parking area for owners and guests as well.

The listing describes the house as a "must see private Malibu estate the perfect sanctuary for families, authors, artist or musicians."

News of the listing comes ten months after Flanigan's wife Katherine Kousi filed for divorce from the handsome actor. The couple separated in November 2013 and Kousi filed for divorce in January citing irreconcilable differences, according to TMZ.

No word on if the divorce has been finalized, but the listing could definitely mean an asset split is underway.
