The "Hotline Bling" director, Julien Christian Lutz aka Director X stated that he's overwhelmed of the music video's massive success which reached 245 million views. The music video that was shot back in September was accomplished through X's production company, Creative Soul. This music video is his third time to work with Drake after "Worst Behavior" and "Started from the Bottom" as per CBC's report.

"It was incredible, I was really blown away. I didn't expect it to be so big. It's crazy."

Lutz has worked with numerous artists over the past 20 years. He has worked with Kendrick Lamar, Usher, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Timbland, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and John Mayer. Not only is he directing music videos, but he's worked with several film projects as well. Lutz is on his way in directing his second feature film, "Center Stage 3: Dance Camp," which does not have a specific release date yet.

After three music videos, Lutz shared that working with Drake is easy as he described the singer as a "great collaborator." He even stated that Drake knows what he wants which makes it easier for them to work together.

He even shared that he would refer Drake as a partner as the artist is hands on when it comes to dealing with his projects.

"He's a great collaborator; He definitely knows what he wants and even has an understanding of what's going to work. It's a good experience working with him. It's good to be working with someone that's more of a partner than just some guy who shows up and then stands in front of the camera and leaves."

X then added that Drake would make it a point that everything is set before leaving. He also shared that when a problem would occur onset, the artist would take initiative to have things settles instead of letting other people do it for him.

"He's involved, top to bottom, beginning to end. He's not leaving anything for someone else to figure out for him."
