CEO of Niantic John Hanke recently said that "Pokemon Go" will already include gyms and the anticipated augmented reality game for smartphones is already prepared for its iOS and Android release next year.
Games Beat held an interview with Hanke and the CEO said that the the upcoming game will have gyms, though they will be a bit more rare. Players would find gyms so they could level up their Pokemon and do battles there, so effort is necessary to simply get there.
"Pokemon Go" Game
Niantic developed the "Pokemon Go" to allow its players to explore the real world as they capture Pokemons within their phones. Hanke said that the "Pokemon Go" was designed to make players walk out of their houses and find Pokemon within a few minutes. Hanke said "It may not be the most rare Pokemon... But there will be a population of them living near our players..."
The game developer seems to explain how and where the Pokemons will show up. However, it looks like the location of the Pokemons depend on its type and some of which may be in different parts of the world. Hanke said, "Pokémon will live in different parts of the world depending on what type of Pokémon they are," As per the CEO, water Pokemon will be somewhere near water and there will also be Pokemons that will only exist in some parts of the world. There will also be rare Pokemons found in a few places.
