Rumors have been going nonstop about Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's alleged divorce with husband Jean-Bernard, and at a new interview, Cheryl's cousin Tony Tweedy said the couple has been having great difficulty in communication and that the language barrier could be blamed for their alleged separation.
Jean-Bernard, whose first language is French, allegedly knows very little English, which has made things rather difficult for Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. Tweedy mentions in the interview, "what sort of relationship is it if she cannot speak French and he can't speak English? They may as well have a threesome with the interpreter." He also shares that their family didn't expect their marriage to stay long and they only gave the pair six months until their eventual divorce. However, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's cousin's words must be taken with a grain of salt as they haven't been in contact in years.
Prior to the language barrier issue, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's marriage with Jean-Bernard has long been reported to be over. The 'X-Factor' mentor's posts on social media show that she spent Christmas day with her family, but she failed to mention if she was with her husband then. Her very neutral Instagram post had the caption "Merry Christmas from a swaged out Santa (that's what happens when my nephew comes to stay) wishing you all a beautiful day full of love, laughter, health & happiness."
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's husband's whereabouts weren't so clear either, and it wasn't sure if he was in the United Kingdom then or if he was busy dealing with work in the United States. It has also been reported that the Girls Aloud lead hasn't been wearing her wedding band, leading many to believe that their marriage is indeed on the rocks or has failed entirely.
If they are to truly part ways, this will mark Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's third failed marriage. A confirmation regarding their separation is pending from both parties.
