After taking their relationship to the next level in the previous episode of "The Big Bang Theory", Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is speculated to go on another level when the show returns.

Christian Post reported that Parsons talked about the possibility of another wedding to be featured in the show after it was earlier revealed that his character Sheldon previously bought an engagement ring for Amy and originally planned to propose to her before they broke up in season 8. Parsons admitted that they don't really know what will happen to the couple and even the events of the previous episode shocked them too.

Showrunner Steve Molaro said in an interview that sleeping together was a huge step for Amy and Sheldon's relationship and now their relationship has become more solid than before. Despite the huge leap in their relationship, Molaro assured the fans that Sheldon and Amy are still very much the same and they shouldn't expect any major changes to happen in the couple's relationship. Molaro added that the engagement will come up again at some point in the future but he did not reveal when. When asked of a possible pregnancy, Molara thinks that they don't know when is the best time for that yet.

Meanwhile, Inquisitr reported that Molaro may have also hinted in an interview that "The Big Bang Theory" might end after season 10. Talking with The Hollywood Reporter, the showrunner said that, "The reality is that maybe Season 10 is the ending point." However, CBS hasn't still given a confirmation that they would cancel the show after season 10. Molaro said that they don't have an idea when the network will decide the end the show and that they are working episode to episode, making the best that they can.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will return after the long break on Jan. 7.
