"Fifty Shades Darker" star Jamie Dornan recently explained how Christian Grey will be different in the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel.
In an interview with Elle Magazine, Dornan said that his character will become darker but also more vulnerable compared to the Christian Grey that fans saw first in "Fifty Shades of Grey."
"Fifty Shades of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Johnson also gushed over Dornan, and said that he was really perfect for the role that was originally given to Charlie Hunnam.
"As an actor, he's incredibly versatile and skilled. He can do the full range of darkness and vulnerability. If he needs to be an adorable puppy, he's an adorable puppy. But if I need him to be dark and dangerous, he's dark and dangerous. I think people will be surprised to see what he's capable of," she said.
Meanwhile, Dornan also talked about E.L. James' trilogy, and said that fans were drawn to it so its success shouldn't be undermined.
"I wonder what it is about this set of books that has, excuse my pan, penetrated the global market. What is it that's just so on the pulse of what women want? I think a lot of people try to undermine the whole thing. But it's hard to undermine something that's so successful. Mass appreciation doesn't always equate to something good. Think of Hitler! But I think, in this case, it must. It simply must. There's got to be merit in it if so many people agree," he said.
In other news, Dornan recently spoke with BAFTA Guru to reveal some interesting details about himself.
According to the actor, he has asthma, and he's also not very good when it comes to auditioning for certain roles.
Additionally, Dornan also said that he wanted to play the role of Christopher McCandless in "Into the Wild."
"Fifty Shades Darker" will be released on Feb. 10, 2017.
