"Switched at Birth" season 5 will introduce a series of shocking twists in the lives of Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne (Katie Leclerc).

In an interview with TV Line, the actress talked about her character's fate in the upcoming season of the hit ABC Family show.

Marano spoke about the future of Bay's dating life. Ever since she split from Emmett (Sean Berdy), Bay already had problems trusting guys.

She was previously linked with Travis (Ryan Lane), and then with Garrett (Nyle DiMarco).

"I actually love the idea of Bay and Travis together, just because it came out of nowhere. Both of these characters were not likeable when they started - she was a spoiled brat and he was really jerky - and we've seen them both grow into such lovely, loyal characters. That's one thing Bay is lacking from every relationship she's had since Emmett, because of her insecurities after being cheated on and dumped. She's missing that loyalty in somebody," she said.

Meanwhile, there have also been some rumors that Bay will get into a relationship with a new guy, and that she could get pregnant towards the latter part of season 5, according to Christian Post.

"It seems like everything is going to wrap up in a nice, pretty little bow - and then the last five minutes happen, and you're going to be like, 'What. Just. Happened?' How did we get here?" she said.

In other news, Marano also talked about the ten-month time-jump, and revealed that she was surprised when she found out that they were doing this on the show.

"My reaction was just so many questions: 'What is that? How is that? I can't even...' just so many questions. I'd heard about what we were doing ahead of time, and I was like, 'You have got to be kidding me,'" she said.

"Switched at Birth" season 5 will premiere on ABC Family sometime next year.
