"The Vampire Diaries" alum Nina Dobrev works together with "Pretty Little Liars" Shay Mitchell for "We Are Stronger Together" campaign wherein the main motive is to sell-out Rafiki bracelets aimed to fund basic needs and causes in certain communities.
According to Design N Trend (via Huffington Post), the two famous stars of CW and ABC series' are both the new faces of the global campaign of Free The Children which will run from Dec. 26 to Jan. 26, 2015. Dobrev and Mitchell's promotion of the bracelets will benefit the funding for "water, healthcare, school supplies and healthy meals." The communities in Kenya, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Nicaragua are some of the cited beneficiary of the funds.
"I hope everyone joins me in supporting this campaign to help transform the lives of those who need it most. It's a powerful fashion statement when you wear your passion for changing the world," Mitchell shared from Huffington Post. "I've had the opportunity to visit Free The Children's partner communities in Kenya and connect with the Maasai Mamas who make these beautiful Rafiki bracelets. Seeing the impact first hand is an experience I'll never forget."
The 1400 women employees of "Free The Children" made the bracelets via hand and are currently available at we.org. Each of the bracelet costs $10 and are available at participating stores such as Walgreens, PacSun, and Nordstrom.
Apart from the humanitarian causes that Dobrev and Mitchell joined in, both are currently busy with their upcoming projects. Dobrev posted via her instagram glimpses of her new movie, "Crash Pad" and her other film "Arrivals" is scheduled for release on 2016.
While Mitchell will be back on "Pretty Little Liars" sixth season as Emily Fields. The ABC Family series will be hitting TV screens back on Jan. 12, 2016.
