Game publisher Sony has announced on Monday that it will roll out some new contents of its popular video games "LittleBigPlanet." The company said that the game's Marvel-themed DLC is expected to be released on Dec. 31.

The game's new contents will include several Marvel-themed level packs, new costumes, and popular characters like Captain America, Spider Man, and Iron Man, among others, a report from Gamespot said.

"In addition, LittleBigPlanet 3 is on sale for $12/$8 as part of the third week of the PSN 2015 Holiday Sale. Sony didn't say why LittleBigPlanet's Marvel DLC is going away, but the expiration of a licensing agreement might be the reason. After December 31, if you already bought any Marvel DLC for LittleBigPlanet, you'll be able to redownload the content at a later time," the report said.

According to the report, the game's all Marvel-themed contents are on sale and the costume packs will be sold for $3.29 each, while the game's level kit will be sold for $2.74. It was said that the Marvel Arcade Pack which will be rolled out for "LittleBigPlanet" PS Vita will be sold for $2.74 as announced earlier by Sony.

The publisher has noted that both "LittleBigPlanet" and "LittleBigPlanet 2" DLC are all compatible with the PS3 and PS4 versions of the "LittleBigPlanet 3." It can be recalled that Sony has previously released a total of six Marvel costume pack. In fact, four of the costume packs were released for the "LittleBigPlanet" while the remaining two costume packs were rolled out for "LittleBigPlanet 2" back in 2011, Polygon said.

"All of the Marvel DLC will be wiped out from the store after December 31st, so they've discounted the Marvel mega-packs, the costume packs and the level creation pack to help move the content before it's taken off the store. This includes offering gamers a total of 30 different Marvel-themed costumes across the expansive comic book and movie universe within LittleBigPlanet," Cinemablend said.
