People's Choice Awards 2016 already released the nominees for the Best Mobile Application. Design and Trend reported that "Fruit Ninja" and "Candy Crush Saga" are part of the nominees.

Back in 2012, King's released "Candy Crush Saga" which became an instant hit. The game requires the player to match three similar candies that appear on the puzzle board. The player will then get to have power ups once the player would be able to eliminate a huge section at once. The game could be downloaded for free, but some of the help items need to be purchased. As per the website, Candy Crush was able to come up with $5.9 billion dollars after Activision purchased King.

"Plants VS Zombies" also became an instant hit after it was released. It is a tower defense where in you have to strategically place your plants to protect your home from being invaded by zombies. The player's goal is to utilize the plants' special power in blocking off and killing the zombies. The player can choose the plant that that they would prefer. The player would be able to get "sunlight" from the sunflower, which they can use to purchase more plants as the game progress.

Released in 2011, "Temple Run" was released by Imangi Studios. The player would need to outrun a huge flock of demonic monkey and the goal is not t get caught. The explorer would need to pas thought numerous obstacles as each level increase in difficulty.

"Fruit Ninja" became popular among kids and kids at heart. The goal of the game is to slash fruits that would appear on the screen with only a few swipes. The score would continually increase but the game would eventually end after the player would miss three fruits. The game would eventually increase in difficulty as bombs that need to be avoided would be dropped.

"Minion Rush" is from the popular movie "Despicable Me." Though the game is quite similar to "Temple Run," the games graphics never failed to capture its audience.
