Charlie Sheen reveals, in an exclusive interview by Dylan Howard from Radar, the number of people who actually sued him after his HIV revelation. For four years, the 50-year-old actor hid his condition to the public but was pressured to tell his secret before he was ready, a report from Radar Online said.

Sheen claimed that he has been blackmailed even by his closest friends. He now opens up the true extent of his nightmare and how he deals with the lawsuits and the many others that are soon to come his way.

Dylan Howard asked Sheen about his continued relationship with people that he actor described as "unsavory and insipid types."  The "Anger Management" actor said, "They didn't fully reveal themselves to be unsavory and insipid types until after they broke my trust and went after me. It seems like everyone was having a grand old time until it went treasonous."

Howard asked how Sheen managed to deal with people continually blackmailing and extorting him. Sheen merely replied that they "come in all shapes and sizes."

He asked Sheen why the actor chose to simply pay the people who extorted from him. He replied, "I was trying to protect my privacy. I didn't want to be forced into revealing my condition based on somebody else's greed or folly."

Sheen also said that he never regretted paying blackmailers saying that he believed that it was the right decision at that time. When asked why he did not report this to the police, the actor said that he thought about it but reports would be filed and these would have violated his privacy in the end as well.

Finally, Howard asked Charlie Sheen how many people, to date, has he settled civil proceedings and out-of-court agreements with regarding his HIV condition.

"Less than 10," the actor replied. "I don't even have a number, it's been a lot. But again-based on confidentiality -- I don't want to put forth a number."
