New court papers regarding Bill Cosby's rape charges reveal that he is legally and functionally blind, and it would be impossible for him to have raped anyone. The 78-year-old admitted in court papers that he's been suffering from glaucoma for many years now.
The Jell-O Pitchman, who was accused of drugging and raping more than 100 women for the past 43 years, also indicated in his legal papers that he's suffering from Keratoconus, a condition that changes the shape of the corneas. With his eye conditions, his eyesight has been affected tremendously. As per Radar Online reports, Cosby is using new testimonies for defense against the rape charges.
"Mr. Cosby has suffered from a degenerative eye condition for years ... for over a year, [he] has been legally and functionally blind," Cosby's lawsuit claims read, according to Star Pulse.
The "I-Spy" actor's court papers testimonies come on the heels of Beverly Johnson's claims that the former drugged her with a cup of coffee in a Manhattan townhouse during the 1980s. The former model filed rape charges against Cosby, but the latter's lawyers dismissed the claims, saying it is malicious, opportunistic, false and defamatory. Cosby's camp alleged Johnson of making up a story for publicity and to promote her autobiography.
However, a popular New York City criminal defense attorney Murray Richman said that Cosby is just using his eye condition to defend himself in court. The lawyer said that the disgraced TV legend is using his disability to prove that he's incapable of drugging and assaulting women. He added that no jury is going to believe his questionable defense in court.
As of late, Cosby has filed a counter lawsuit against seven women who accused him of the same charges.
