"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" may be cutting scenes of the Flash but it might reveal the identity of Robin, Batman's sidekick.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will not be hitting the cinemas until March 2016 so rumors surrounding the upcoming movie keep circulating online. New speculations surfaced that Robin might be making an appearance in the film given that his defaced suit was shown in the movie trailer.
According to Movie Pilot, the defaced suit is indeed Robin's. This is based on the 1988 comic book entitled "Batman: A Death in the Family." Looking closely at the costume encased in glass in the trailer, the statement "The joke's on you, Batman" is written along its torso. In the 1988 comic book, the second Robin, Jason Todd, was killed by Joker. Hence, the writing on the costume.
The report also said that another Robin, the first one, Dick Grayson, will be mentioned in "Batman v Superman." "What's more is that Dick Grayson, the first Robin, will get a shoutout in the movie!" the report quoted.
Meanwhile, since "Batman v Superman" is the prequel to the "Justice League" films and a slew of stand-alone DC superhero movies, many fans are wondering whether the 2016 movie will include a teaser after the end credits, just like what Marvel does.
Warner Brothers had already done it before, in the unsuccessful "Green Lantern" film. Bleeding Cool said, however, that Zack Snyder may put a teaser at the end but might put his own twist to it. The report stated that Snyder, the director, will add a montage instead. Perhaps, the director would add clips of all the Justice League members instead of just one given that some of the DC superheroes will not be making their debut in "Batman v Superman."
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will dawn on theaters on March 25, 2016.
