Jennifer Garner is reportedly off the market. After her messy divorce from actor Ben Affleck, a new report revealed that she is now dating former co-star Patrick Dempsey who happens to be newly-single too.
Garner and Affleck announced their divorce at the end of June, after a decade of marriage. Meanwhile, Dempsey and ex-wife Jillian Fink called it quits five months after they tied the knot. Knowing that she and Dempsey were going through the same ordeal, Garner reached out to the actor and confided in each other over coffee.
"As soon as they started talking, the spark was evident to both of them... Jen was relieved and excited," a source said. However, that is not the first time that Garner and Dempsey had some chemistry. According to the same source, the two were already attracted with each other when they worked together on the movie "Valentine's Day" back in 2009.
While Affleck allegedly cheated on Gardner with their nanny Christine Ouzounian, Dempsey was also accused of being unfaithful to his ex-wife. Still, Gardner is determined not to let Dempsey's cheating rumors get to her.
The same source related, "Patrick has been treating her like a queen. It's refreshing after Ben, who made her feel like a nag and a nuisance."
It is also reported that the two are in a long distance relationship. Just like every other couple in that kind of situation, Garner and Dempsey keep in touch with each other via Skype and exchanging text messages.
"Jen is so happy. She's almost like a teenager with a crush. It's been so long since she's felt this way with anyone," the insider said. The source also said that Dempsey's feelings for the actress "are growing."
Both Garner and Dempsey have three children with their exes and have been spotted being civil with their former spouses on more than one occasion.
