Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee recently denied that he defended "19 Kids and Counting" alum Josh Duggar amid his sexual molestation scandal.

On his official Facebook account, Huckabee penned a lengthy post affirming his and his wife Janet's support for the Duggar family.

"Janet and I want to affirm our support for the Duggar family. Josh's actions when he was an underage teen are as he described them himself, inexcusable, but that doesn't mean unforgivable. He and his family dealt with it and were honest and open about it with the victims and the authorities. No purpose whatsoever is served by those who are now trying to discredit Josh or his family for sensationalizing the story," he wrote.

Meanwhile, during an interview with "WHO-AM's" Simon Conway, Huckabee said that he never really supported Duggar.

"I really didn't support Josh. I supported his parents, if you'll go back and look at what I said, there's no support for what he did. I think in subsequent months, as more things came out, what he did was despicable, it was dishonest. He did some things that totally defy everything he supposedly stood for," he said.

Huckabee added that he also supported Duggar's sisters, as well as those the reality TV star molested as a young teenager.

"My support was for his sisters, who were the real victims, I felt like they were being exploited by the media... I've never defended Josh and I don't defend him now because there's nothing to defend. What he did was absolutely hideously wrong and despicable," he concluded.

In other news, it is unclear whether or not Huckabee's ratings improved or deteriorated after his interview.

What is only known is that Duggar is still at the Reformers Unanimous getting treatment for his addiction.

"19 Kids and Counting" was cancelled a few after Duggar's scandal was made public by the media.
