Almost similar names has been surfacing as the trade mill in the baseball league continues to spin even on the offseason of the game. Though the upcoming season still has a tentative schedule, still it did not stop insiders to speculate on some possible trade deals. One of the said possible player to be traded would be Jake Odorizzi.

Jake Odorizzi is now being eyed as a potential trade piece of Tampa Bay Rays. The rumor suddenly veered towards Tampa Bay after Odorizzi displayed a strong performance this season, making him to be considered as "one of the game's brightest pitching prospects," reported bleacherreport. And with him just entering his prime, other teams would possibly want him to be part of their roster.

There are two prominent teams reportedly wanting to acquire Odorizzi. According to Jon Heyman of CBS, "Dodgers are in talks with rays about jake odorizzi." And bleacherreport expounded the idea by showing the possible trade scenario wherein the Los Angeles Dodgers may have Jake McGee and Jake Odorizzi while trading Austin Barnes, Frankie Montas and other players involved as well.

St. Louis Cardinals is the second team to be involved in a possible trade deal with the Rays in order to acquire Odorizzi. According to Jon Morisi "#STLCards have had trade talks with #Rays aimed at acquiring a starting pitcher. Jake Odorizzi is from the St. Louis area." And bleacherreport likewise reported that in the said trade scenario the Cardinal will get James Loney and Jake Odorizzi. On the other hand the Rays will get 1B Matt Adams, RHP Jack Flaherty and OF Charlie Tilson.
