The cast and crew of the new Bourne movie have been mum about its production but in a recent interview, Jason Bourne actor himself, Matt Damon shares details about the continuation of the action movie series.

The 5th installment of the movie adapted from the best selling novel of Robert Ludlum has not revealed its title yet, and fans are eager to know what is in store for Damon's character. Based on the actor's interview with Entertainment Weekly, the story of Bourne 5 seems to take on a dystopian setting of some sort. The actor says, "There's been the financial collapse, the great recession, all these issues of cyberwarfare and civil liberties."

The conflicted environment adds up to the character's difficulties of uncovering his past. Bourne is expected to battle with his own issues while dealing with external struggles. Damon says, "We find him in a dark and tortured place."

In another interview, Damon spilled that the next Bourne movie will continue telling the story following Bourne Ultimatum, after his character's disappearance. He adds that the setting would be 12 years after his elusive departure, which according to the movie was in 2004.

Joining the cast is Swedish actress known for her role in 'The Danish Girl,' Alicia Vikander, who will portray a cyberspecialist. Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones plays a CIA agent, and Actress Julia Stiles, who has been on film hiatus for a couple of years, is making a comeback through the movie. French actor  Vincent Cassel is also expected to appear in the movie.

Fans are so thrilled that Matt Damon will be reprising his role in the action packed franchise. A movie spinoff of the Bourne series was released last 2012 sans the actor.

The untitled 5th Bourne movie is expected to hit the theaters on July 29, 2016.
