Looks like Courteney Cox is not going to party alone this New Year! Reports say that the "Friends" actress and her ex-boyfriend Johnny McDaid is trying to work their relationship out, an article from Radar Online said.
The 51-year-old star's plan to make McDaid jealous has finally paid off, said reports. The musician/songwriter was reported to be thinking about giving their relationship another chance after he learned that Courteney had a date with Will Arnett.
She was caught unprepared when Johnny McDaid broke off their engagement and went back to Ireland. But sources said, "People close to Johnny think he is having second thoughts about breaking up with Courteney."
"It seems like he really misses her. They are reconnecting and talking. So he looked a flight to come back to Los Angeles to try and work things out with her."
Cox was earlier spotted having dinner with Will Arnett which started rumors that the two may be in a relationship. However, someone close to the actress revealed the real motive for the date.
"Courtney and Will have been friends for a long time and she just wanted to go out and have a good time. Plus, she wanted to let Johnny know that there are other guys out there that want her, so if he is still interested then he needs to hurry back."
Looking at the results, Courteney's plan may have worked! The two have scheduled counselling sessions to help them make their relationship work. "He really wants to give it a second chance," the source added.
Cox seemed to have dropped hints that her relationship with the 39-year-old singer was not completely over. She wore a promise ring on her right hand while they were engaged and now she has that ring on her left to replace a much extravagant ring.
