Other than having an average 25.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game, James was dubbed as one of NBA's Worst Shooters from outside the paint.
As Stephen Curry rapidly tops the player rankings being the reigning MVP, James struggles outside the painted area.
In a tweet by John Schuhmann on his account, he has linked a list of the league's worst shooters. In his tweet he even mentioned James and Kobe Bryant as the top "worst high-volume shooters from outside the paint."
The King has been known to have an adaptive shooter. He is known to have 48.6 percent shooting in the field which now has decreased to 24.8 percent, struggling to keep it up.
Despite the Cavaliers' loss against the Portland Trail Blazers, James remains to be a player to beat with an average of 25 points per game. He is known for his inside shooting that competing teams keep him away from the basket. However, it does not stop him from shooting ten feet away from the basket.
As players struggle to keep James outside the painted area, he makes his way trying to score as much as he could. In a post by Basketball Reference , it shows that over the past few seasons, James has gotten an amazing 59.1 percent FG attempts within ten feet from the basket, which is a top mark within his long career.
James has an overall efficiency rating of 25.6 trail which only Curry, Westbrook, Durant and Kawhi Leonard hold, and ranks 10th in win shares.
James might not have been best outside, but he remains an effective player.
