ABC recently released the official cast photos for Season 2 of its crime anthology series "Secrets and Lies."
It was earlier confirmed that the show will feature a new story and also new characters. The only returning character from season 1 is Detective Andrea Cornell who is played by Juliette Lewis. In season 1, the detective worked on a case of a young boy named Tom Murphy who was murdered. In the new season, she will be investigating the mysterious death of Kate Warner played by "Fast & Furious" star, Jordana Brewster.
The network has released the first cast photos as posted in International Business Times. The photos show not only Detective Cornell but also the new characters that will be involved in her investigation. Eric Warner who is the victim's husband, played by Michael Ealy will be the primary suspect in her investigation. Eric comes from a wealthy family from North Carolina and inherits the firm that is owned by his father. Aside from Eric, Detective Cornell also needs to investigate other family members and friends which could give clues as to what happened to Kate.
Other cast members include Terry O'Quinn who will play Eric's father, John Warner while Charlie Barnett will play Eric's younger brother Patrick and Mekia Cox will be playing the role of Eric's sister Amanda Warner-Young. Amanda is a criminal attorney and she will help her brother clear his name from the murder of his wife. Another character who is not part of the family is a man named Danny who will be played by Kenny Johnson. It was revealed that he is somehow connected to Kate's murder and he is described to be someone scary.
As of writing the network still hasn't released the official premiere date for season 2 but Venture Capital Post reported that there is a huge possibility that "Secrets and Lies" season 2 will premiere this fall.
