Hilary Duff opened up about feeling guilty when she doesn't have enough time for her 3-year-old son, Lucas. During an interview with Redbook Magazine, the former Lizzie McGuire actress shared her struggles on being a single mother.
"it's hard to say that you really can have it all. I think you can to a certain degree, but fully loaded, pedal-all-the-way-down is tough. You're missing out on something, either on the career or on the family, When I'm really busy with work, I feel extremely guilty."
During an interview with ET, the "Younger" actress opened up about motherhood and talked about how proud she is in being a mom. Duff also shared how she loves seeing her son grow everyday as she was able to witness his progress.
"I really feel like he chose me, I feel really lucky just to watch him every day grow and become a little person with his own opinions and his own ideas. It's really beautiful to watch. He's the sweetest little spirit and we have so much fun. In bed at night, reading books, all the simple things are really the ones I cherish the most. He's so funny right now too ... it's a great age."
Duff might have ended her relationship with Mike Comrie; she did however mentioned that she's open with the option of having more kids. She also pointed out that she feels that marriage isn't required for her to have more kids as per Redbook.
"I don't feel I would need to be married to have another child, If I felt strongly enough toward someone or if someone felt strongly about it, I might say okay. But it's not essential."
In regards to Lucas' father on the other hand, Duff stated that she and Mike will always have a strong friendship and that they'll always be a family.
"I wouldn't say we have a cordial relationship, I would say we have a really strong friendship and a lot of love for one another, we're a family, and we're always going to be a family."
