The "Harry" Potter spin-off play is already in the works and the cast were announced late last year. Though fans may have been psyched to know that Harry and the gang will continue their adventure, they were however disappointed that the Hermione that was casted for the play was not in-line with their expectations.
Most of them took social media by storm as they couldn't imagine having Emma Watson being replaced by a darker character, numerous fans, and as well as J.K. Rowling herself defended the idea of casting a black Hermione.
Noma Dumezweni, who was casted to take on the role, gathered countless support, one of which came from Emma Watson who played Hermione in the movies.
On one of the Tweets that she posted, Watson shared her excitement to see Dumezweni portray her beloved character.
"Can't wait to see Noma Dumezweni as Hermione on stage this year . #harrypotterandthecursedchild #2016 (sic)."
In addition to the people who supported the stage play actress, JK Rowling herself broke her silence in regards the issue of having Dumezweni as an adult Hermione Granger.
