British GQ just named the newest "World's Best Dressed Man" -- and it's no other than Eddie Redmayne!
The breakout star just beat the likes of Nick Grimshaw, Sam Smith, and David Beckham, who were second, third, and fourth place respectively. Among the other stars who were honored on the list were One Direction's Harry Styles and the Becks' son Romeo Beckham. Looks like Eddie Redmayne is with some cool company!
GQ's "Best Dressed List" isn't one to be taken lightly, as it is determined by some of the most prominent names in the fashion business like Giorgio Armani himself, Alexander McQueen's creative director Sarah Burton, Tom Ford, and even Vivienne Westwood.
Eddie Redmayne has also revealed his philanthropic side, as he shared that he has "occasionally" helped struggling actors when it comes to their finances -- especially that expenses in London are quite extreme and impossible for those who aren't financially able. He shares that he himself has experienced hard times as an actor in London, and that he simply understood what they are going through, thus, the helping hand.
The British actor did a stellar job as transgender Lili Elbe in "The Danish Girl," and writer Lucinda Coxon has been singing praises for Eddie Redmayne! When asked about her reaction about Eddie Redmayne being cast, she says "...I think with Eddie, I thought, we've got a chance of getting it made fairly brilliantly. I just felt lots of confidence of in his ability to do it justice. His commitment to that role was phenomenal and kind of inspiring. So I was absolutely thrilled and very relieved really when Eddie was announced." Coxon also mentions that Redmayne's commitment to the role was truly phenomenal.
Eddie Redmayne is set to star on the film adaptation of "The Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them." The movie is set to premiere within the year.
