"Songs of Experience" would be a direct follow up to the band's 2014 album titled, "Songs of Innocence." According to DIY, it iso so name because of Bono's obsession with William Blake's 1789 poetry compilation, "Songs of Innocence and Experience."

It is expected to be released this year.
