Hearts could possibly be broken and shocking revelations will happen when "Jane the Virgin" season 2 returns after the winter break.

During the mid-season finale of the show, Rafael (Justin Baldoni) and Jane (Gina Rodriguez) had an argument after the latter found out that the former set-up her ex, Michael (Brett Dier) so that he will be fired from his job. Although the couple reconciled in the end after attending couple's therapy, International Business Times reported that Jane will have a major realization about her love life in the second part of the season.

The site reported that there is a possibility that Jane will realize that she still has feelings for Michael and he will break up with Rafael. It was also said that Rafael is also fully aware of Jane's feelings for Michael and he will have to face the truth that there is a possibility that Jane is still not over Michael. Things will reportedly be more complicated in the second part of the season and Jane will have to choose between the man she truly loves and the father of her child.

Meanwhile, Christian Today reported that Jane will also make another shocking discover as she learns that her grandfather is gay. In the teaser video for the episode, her grandmother Liliana (Rita Moreno) came to visit the little Mateo and when Jane asked how she has been, the older woman revealed to her that Rogelio's (Jaime Camil) father left her for another man. Jane was shocked by the news but her father Rogelio cannot get over the fact that his father is gay. In the teaser, he mentions the love between men during the family dinner and shows how he is greatly affected by the revelation.

"Jane the Virgin" season 2 episode 9 will air on The CW on Jan. 25.
