Avid fans and die-hard gamers of the popular game "Fire Emblem" have something to cheer about. This is after game developer Intelligent Systems and publisher Nintendo has confirmed that tactical role-playing video game franchise is slated to be released on February 19, a report from iDigital Times said on Tuesday.
According to the report, the game's release date was published on the "Fire Emblem: Fates" website. It was said that the game's storyline will be split in two separate stories namely: "Conquest" and "Birthright." The developer said that the reason the game has two separate stories is to show conflict between two kingdoms.
"In this new Fire Emblem experience for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, your customized avatar is the main hero. An army of knights, mages, archers, and more are at your command in the most tactical battles in series history. Each unit and weapon has strengths and weaknesses you must consider for every foe you face. Partner allies on the battlefield so they can support each other in combat. Building relationships is key-the closer your allies become, the better they'll fight together. Their future is in your hands, but first you must make the most important decision in the history of Fire Emblem," reads a detail of the game from the website.
Gameranx reports that the game's website will reveal other details in future such as the preorders for the special edition and ESRB rating, among others.
"Create your protagonist from scratch, and choose an allegiance between the Hoshino and Nohr. Each side corresponds to a different game; namely, Fire Emblem Fates Conquest for the Nohr and Fire Emblem Fates Birthright for the Hoshino. Finishing either game will allow you to download a third path, also the size of a full game, called Fire Emblem Fates Revelation," the report said.
