Curbed Los Angeles just posted the first look of the new Martin Expo Town Center.
The area will be composed of residential units, offices, and a retail complex located a block away from the Expo/Bundy station.
According to Curbed, the project was revealed in the previous years, but it was only now when the official images of what the construction might look like after it is finished were released.
The project is said to build over 500 residential units that can be apartments for rent or as condo units. It will also house a 10-story tower for office and retail spaces that businesses can lease. With this amount of people using the property, they will also add a thousand parking spaces.
The article mentioned that the project will be designed by Gensler. Details were also revealed that the five acres of land will be able to build a seven-story residential building that counts up to 516 condos or apartments using the 81,000 square feet of land. It will also feature a grocery store, a line of restaurants, and retail stores. All of these will be built on the north side of the project.
The south side will consist of a 10-story office building that occupies 192,000 square feet and an additional 26,500 square feet of a combination of office and retail space that will be placed on the street level.
The project will also include a plaza that measures about 10,000 square feet. This plaza will be open and accessible to the public. It also includes landscaping, water features, and outdoor dining. It will also house an underground parking space of 1,400 to 1,900 parking spots.
Curbed also mentioned that the southern part of the land currently holds the Cadillac showroom and the northern part is also used as an auto service center, but both will be demolished.
