"The Bachelor 2016" Ben Higgins made a shocking confession on national television. In the last season of "The Bachelor," Higgins was caught off-guard when Kaitlyn Bristowe asked him if he's still a virgin or not.

Although embarrassed to answer Bristowe's question, Higgins had no choic, but to give a reply while the portion was being filmed. Looking innocent, he admitted that he's no longer a virgin. The new Bachelor admitted that it was some sort of question that he didn't expect, especially that he's on air and being watched by a lot of people.  As Movie News Guide reported, Higgins told Bristowe that now his grandma would know that he's no longer one.

"Thanks Kaitlyn!" Bachelor 2016 Higgins said while laughing. "It's not something you expect to be brought up. I don't think it was something my grandma or my mom didn't expect or were shocked by, but it was weird!" Higgins continued: "I have to thank Kaitlyn for taking the opportunity to ask me that on national television. So now my grandma knows for certain!"

Meanwhile, in the Jan. 11, 2016 issue of PEOPLE magazine, Higgins discussed that communication is very important in intimacy. The account manager dished that things such as sex must not be taboo and must be talked about, such as the partner's expectations, limits and boundaries.

"I want to make sure I keep those communications between us," he said. "There are some conversations that only need to happen between the two people involved in a relationship!"

Meanwhile "The Bachelor" 2016 20th season premieres Monday night as Higgins starts searching for his love. The 27-year-old Indiana-born hunk was formerly eliminated by Bristowe in the last season of ABC's show in 2015. Higgins is set to choose from 28 ladies, including old faces such as Becca Tilley and Amber James, who also joined Chris Soules' season of "The Bachelor." The new season airs at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
