There are quite number of teams in the NBA that did not meet the expectations of their fans, and even some critics. Aside from the Lakers, perhaps one of those teams would be the Phoenix Suns, who have been having some trouble with their games and some of their players. That is why rumors of the possible replacement of current head coach Jeff Hornacek is spreading on the internet like wild fire.

According to some reports, the team and the management is doing their best to make things favourable to their head coach. However, with a very disappointing season and having nine straight losses, Hornacek may soon be axed and be replaced by one of the Suns former coach.

Movie News Guide reported that the possible replacement for Hornacek would be the Suns former coach, Mike D' Antoni. According to the reports, the current associate coach of the 76ers, D' Antoni, is the best option for the Suns if they wanted to turn things around.

NBA Trade rumors also emphasized that if Hornacek will be axed, the successful reign of D' Antoni during 2003 to 2008 season will somehow be resurrected for the said post. It was back in season 2013-2014 that D'Antoni last headed the team with their campaign. And afterwards he requested a time off and is now associated with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Leading D' Antoni back to the post somehow makes sense, especially that the speculation of him leading the 76ers as head coach was extinguished after coach Brett Brown had an extension. If indeed true, then the Suns will finally have changes in their approach, and most probably the alleged altercation between Suns player Markieff Morris and head coach Jeff Hornacek will be ended. Guess we would just have to wait whether the Suns will take D' Antoni with as their head coach or associate coach in order to give Hornacek more time to improve his team.
