Newly-crowned women's bantamweight titleholder Holly Holm is ready for the next fight against Ronda Rousey. Despite dismantling Rousey in 2015, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White confirmed Holm's expected rematch quite soon.

In an interview for the Monday's edition of the MMA Hour, Holm told Ariel Helwani that she has renewed her contact with UFC. The "Preacher's Daughter" is ready to face and give a lot of punches in Octagon after signing a multi-year contract extension.

This year, she is looking forward to an early match that might be coming soon. "If I fight sooner rather than later, it won't be a rematch," Holm said. However, the UFC administration announced that no rematch against Holm and Rousey will take place until the latter is ready for rematch.

Holm knocked down Rousey in their November match by the second round. However, according to White, the possible rematch might take place around the 9th of July.

But Holm suggests that Rousey might not be available that time, for the latter is set to shoot two films. This, therefore, makes Holm hope that the match will happen earlier. Even her agent, Lenny Fresquez, said that she does not prefer waiting too long.

"The UFC will be having an announcement this week and they'll be announcing it. I'm not at liberty to discuss the contract and that was part of the contract so I can't discuss any of that but the UFC will be making an announcement this week I'm pretty sure," shared Holm.

If, in case, Rousey would not be available anytime soon, Holm is open for a match against Miesha Tate. Recently, Tate had one four matches in a row, making her the next logical contender.

Holly Holm has remained to be undefeated in her mixed martial arts career, but is willing to finalize UFC's decision for the next match.
