"Fifty Shades Darker" star Dakota Johnson recently talked about the brutality of Hollywood.

In an interview with Vogue UK, the actress said that Hollywood is brutal especially for celebrities who are no longer in their prime years.

"Why isn't my mother in movies? She's an extraordinary actress! Why isn't my grandmother in movies? This industry is f*cking brutal. No matter how tough you are, sometimes there's the feeling of not being wanted. It's absurd and cut-throat. Whenever I have downtime, I'm unsure that I will ever work again. I don't know what it is, but it's a definite thing that happens to me," she said.

Meanwhile, Johnson will also star in the upcoming movie "Black Mass" alongside Johnny Depp.

In the film, Johnson will give life to the wife of Whitey Bulger (Depp).

While talking about her role, Johnson said that she doesn't have any problems looking ugly for the big screen or even in real life.

"In my real life, I don't look pretty all the time. Nobody does. I love films that are honest... That's the thing that turns me on," she said.

In other news, Johnson previously confirmed that she went on an "emotional void" after starring in multiple movies post "Fifty Shades of Grey."

During an interview with Total Film, Johnson said, "It feels like a lifetime ago. I feel like I've five different people since then. What did I do afterwards? I was working. I kept going. The night that I hosted 'Saturday Night Live' was the end of promoting the movie... and then... I think I blacked out. I went into an emotional void," she explained.

"Fifty Shades Darker" also stars Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey. The film is slated for release on Feb. 10, 2017.
