Jungle Theme
Antlers were a big trend in 2015. They are often used in toilet paper holders, walls, and even chandeliers. While antlers may add a touch of drama to a room, they feel almost cliche these days, Huffington Post reported. Apart from antlers, animal heads were also a hit in 2016.
Wall Writings
Walls were pretty much expressive in 2015. Wall writings were quite popular in the year, that were made from inspirational quotes, dramatically painted accent walls, and the omnipresent black chalkboard. However, a lot of design experts consider the black chalkboard wall as an overused interior home theme.
Overused Home Design Styles
According to home design experts, the two most overused design aesthetics include ombre and boutique hotel chic. Ombre is quite self explanatory, while the boutique hotel chic style is mainly focused on minimalism.
Novelty Touches
Who does not want to add personality to any home decor? It may be a great idea, but funny and whimsical touches may better need to just stay in 2015. Based on the report of RealtorMag, Buddha heads, skull accessories, transparent ghost chairs, as well as mustache design touches, are no longer an appealing novelty to several would-be buyers.
Rustic Letters
Metal letter accents were also popular and have been featured by several home design blogs. However, the trick for homeowners and stagers is to not go overboard according to interior design experts.
