Staycations (stay+vacations) became popular after the 9/11 incident. People chose to travel less and just spent what little spare time they had at home. The more families choose to enjoy what they have in their abodes, the bigger the savings they gain later on, taking away the usual travels that happen annually.

While swimming pools were already present in a lot of homes then, the popularity of building lavish ones came alongside "staycationing."

Celebrities, just like "ordinary" citizens, enjoy staycations as much as most people do. An increasing number of astonishing pools have been revealed to have been owned by celebrities, and here are four of the most noticeable.

The Party Pool

Demi Moore and then husband, Ashton Kutcher, renovated a 1950s canyonside house located in Beverly Hills. Both celebrities took part in redesigning their love nest, with Kutcher wanting functionality and comfort, while Moore was more into emphasizing a stylish design.

The rear portion of the former couple's house includes a spacious deck and a pool.  The whole house was designed to have around 60 guests in it, and if they wanted everyone to have fun outside, the swimming pool deck could handle it easily. Pamela Burton was responsible for the rear garden landscaping, while Los Angeles-based interior designer Brad Dunning, was responsible for the whole house, the Architectural Digest reported.

The Sightseeing Pool

A Rocky Balboa bronze statue at the end of a pool cannot deny the fact that the property belongs to none other than Sylvester Stallone. Stallone purchased the 14-acre property in Miami back in 1993, which contained an almost neglected Neoclassical-style villa. However, it was put back in its former glory, and is now the actor's home with his wife Jennifer Flavin, and their daughter Sophia Rose. The pool is located at the back of the house, and has an ample view of Miami's Biscayne Bay.

The Golf Pool

Frank Sinatra loved golf so much that his pool opens to the golf course. There has also been numerous times that golfers have walked-in the pool. Sinatra's 18-bedroom, 23-bath, house with an oval swimming pool sits inside the 17th fairway of the Tamarisk Country Club in Rancho Mirage. Reportedly, a golf cart has even accidentally fallen into the pool.

The Infinity Summer Pool

Cher loves her infinity-edge pool so much that she spends all of her time there during the Summer. The residence of the singer-actress was designed to be an Italian Renaissance and was commissioned to designer Ron Wilson, who is also a long-time friend of the singer-actress, the Huffington Post reported.
