A new architectural surprise recently popped up at the Southwest Coast National Scenic Are in Jaiyi County Taiwan earlier this week. The shoe-shaped structure turns out to be a church and will be opened in the Lunar New year this February. It was created to encourage more women to enter churches in the area.
A massive giant glass high-heel structure recently surfaced at the Jaiyi County in Taiwan at the famous Southwest Coast National Scenic Area. The shoe-shaped structure is a church created with the female gender in mind. Apparently, Taiwanese women would be more interested in getting inside a church if it looks like a high-heel shoe, Elle Decor reports.
Although the message that the building is sending might seem off for Taiwanese women, the structure itself is a massive beauty to behold. The interior of the church also features several "female-oriented" perks to attract more women. A chair for lovers, biscuits and cakes are also available inside the church, as described by the spokesperson of the Southwest Coast National Scenic Area.
Mashable describes the structure as a 55-foot tall and 36-foot wide structure that took two months to build in the Budai Town. The church will open on Lunar New Year this coming February 8, 2016. The blue-tinted glass structure was created to draw female worshippers inside, and it includes several female-oriented features included inside the worship facility.
The facility was initially thought to be a structure to pay homage to Cinderella, as it is a high-heeled glass shoe. However, Taiwan seems to have a different kind of perception when it comes to attracting women to churches via the shoe-shaped structure in Jaiyi County.
