Former Masterchef contestant, Kathryn Minchew has set up her own restaurant which can dubbed as the one of the world's smallest because it is merely a hexagonal garden shed. After getting permit to operate, Minchew immediately set up her fine dining venture right on her own garden, Gloucester Citizen reported.

Minchew, 32-year-old, set up a Gloucester Studio in her Cotswolds garden after she reached the semi-finals of the cooking competition back in 2008. Now, she opened her culinary business and she was happy with the response from the diners but her restaurant can only accommodate eight people because of it size.

The restaurant is available for "exclusive hire" on a pre-booked basis. But only two groups of eight people can be served in the small restaurant in a month.

The Gloucester Studio centers around a single hexagonal table with a fire pit in the middle. Guests can sit across each other while sitting on wooden benches which are covered in reindeer hide.

The place may be modest but the menu price is expensive. Its "simple suppers" comprised of five courses and wine good for eight people costs £495 while a "fire-cooked meal" for eight dishes and wine is priced at £750. If you want a "bespoke dining" experience with a menu that is uniquely created for the guests, it would cost £995.

The menu features fire-cooked steak, poached haddock, and Cointreau brownies. These will be eaten from wooden plates that match the motif of the space.

"It’s completely changed my life. I am delighted it’s been given the go-ahead. It’s only one aspect of what I am doing but an important part. It is very much the inspiration for my cooking and all my photography is done there," Minchew said according to Mail Online.

Minchew is a former copywriter who qualified for the penultimate round of Masterchef 2008. She now works as a chef and consultant is recently publishing her book entitled, "The Pyromaniac Chef" which she crowdfunded.
