Tila Tequila Nguyen has recently created a GoFundMe campaign to ask financial support from fans to help her move to a new home and buy furniture to pair it with.
Nguyen wrote on her campaign the reason as to why she launched it saying, ""The reason why I am creating this GoFundMe campaign is because they have raised the rent at my old home to $4,500 a month, and being a single mother without any support from the father, it can sometimes be very tough taking care of 2 people with only a 1 person income."
She then proudly says that she needs the money to make hers and her child's life comfortable. "So right now I need to raise some money so that I can move into my new home and get it furnished for my daughter and I."
Nguyen says that she would rather "save money" for her daughter instead of "wasting" it each month on rent and furnishing costs.
After she launched her campaign, mixed comments bombed her campaigned page. As expected, angry and raged comments began bashing Nguyen's account for her campaign. A lot of the commenters suggested that she find a job. Others commented that she should be crowd-funding to get psychological help instead of rent.
A dazzled commenter said, "I honestly can't even believe someone would pay you."
Nguyen's original fund goal was $2,500 dollars and now the crowdfund has reached twice more than her original target. As of writing, there are $5,751 gathered from fan donations all over the world.
As a reward to all non-anonymous donors, she promised to make a personal phone call to each one of them.
"We FINALLY can move into our beautiful, new home, and get it all furnished THANKS TO SOME OF YOU! So after we get all nice and settled I will give you a call!"
