The mansion designed by renowned architect Richard Foster in McLean, Virginia is now up for sale for a little over $7 million.
This luxury real estate on Founders Ridge Lane has a total area of almost an acre with a home that spans to 12,046 square feet, noted Curbed DC. Foster, the architect of the home, is also the brain behind the architectural design of the D.C.'s Kreeger Museum and New York State Theater.
The extravagant home was originally built in 2007 and when it went on the market at that time, it was sold for only $1.675 million. However, now that the estate is going on sale again, it is being sold at a tag price of $7.345 million.
The Founders Ridge property has more than enough amenities which would make anyone's jaw drop. For the basic home features, this luxury home boasts a total of five bedrooms and six full bathrooms plus two half baths.
The master's suite is sizeable with a balcony and a fireplace. A big TV is attached to the wall above the fireplace while two couches are situated near the balcony. This suite also includes a vestibule which leads to the dressing room, walk-in closet and the master bathroom. All rooms have hardwood flooring and some are ornamented with carpet.
This three-story home has an impressive living room, the world class chef's kitchen, morning room, library, dining room, and a butler's pantry on the ground level. The four bedrooms have their corresponding bathrooms. There is also a sitting area and a gallery on the said floor.
The third floor is where the added amenities are. The media room has a wall-to-wall animal printed carpet. Its entrance has three movie poster cases, just like what is found in cinemas. The exercise room is also on the third floor as well as a billiard room with a bar, a storage room and a wine cellar. There is also a fifth room on the highest floor level.
An over-the-top home such as this one is not complete without other extravagant amenities. The European structure of the exterior is a perfect backdrop for the swimming pool designed by Lewis Aquatech. Within the area is a raised spa and a pavilion, perfect for a day of relaxation.
