The list of the best hotels around the world in 2016 has been released, and interestingly, only a few U.S. luxury lodging accommodations made it to the cut.

Express UK has listed down the best luxurious hotels travelers can temporarily live in while on vacation and three of these can be found in the country. Each accommodation offers something different from the other.

One of the hotels in the list is The Ritz-Carlton in New York City. What makes this five-star hotel different from others in the area is that it provides guests with the best views of the city's landmark, The Statue of Liberty, and the New York Harbor. Suites are even equipped with a telescope for a closer look at Lady Liberty.

The Glacier Under Canvass in Coram also made the list. This accommodation is glamping at its finest. Lush tents are standing on one of the country's most remarkable backwoods landscape. Although it would seem like guests are camping outdoors, the lodging is packed with amenities that will surely pamper them. Guests can either just relax in their tents or travel to the nearby North American Wildlife Museum or Glacier National Park.

In Telluride, Colorado, the Mountain Lodge is a popular lodging option. This hotel is perfect for guests who are looking to score a VIP accommodation while enjoying the snowy peaks of the San Juan Mountains. The chic and stylish lodging is also ideal for those who want to relax in a chilly environment or go on an adventure in the mountains.

Other hotels on the list include the Wilton Castle in Ireland, the Lookout Cave Underground Motel in Australia, and the Silken Puerta America in Spain. All the properties offer something unique to guests.

On the other hand, the world's best hotel is not a part of the list. According to IBN Live, the Royal Palace in Jodhpur in India has been named the world's best this year, as per TripAdvisor's Traveler's Choice Awards.
