"Man of Steel" actor Chris Meloni has finally sold his New York City apartment at 230 W. 56th Street's Park Imperial for $8.1 million - after several price cuts over the last few years.

According to the New York Post, Meloni first purchased the unit, found on the 60th floor, in 2006 for $5.45 million, "and has spent the last four years trying to unload it."

As it turns out, the apartment unit last had an asking price of $8.95 million, a huge price cut from its 2012 asking price of $12 million.

The apartment spans 3,000 square feet, which includes four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a chef's kitchen, and stunning views of the beloved Central Park from the apartment's windows.

Apparently, listing agent Brian Lewis of Halstead Property gave the "Law & Order" star "a piece on contrarian advice," as reported by The Real Deal.

"I looked carefully and saw that a lot of other apartments [in the building] weren't moving," Lewis said, who persuaded Meloni to lower the asking price, which was enacted in September, after being on the market for three months.

If Meloni stuck with the $11 or $12 million asking price, it would "still be on the market," Lewis noted.

Meloni isn't the only celebrity looking to sell his apartment at Park Imperial, too. Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is also trying to sell his 22,292 square foot unit on the 66th floor of the same building.

Now seeking $6.99 million, Combs' home has seen a price cut since its 2012 asking price of $8.5 million. P. Diddy was also one of the first buyers in the building, buying his apartment unit in 2005 for $3.82 million.
