When the Related Companies' new rentals will launch next month, it will fetch $50,000 rents a month -- along with 22 affordable housing units.

According to the NY Post, the building which has about 84 units of rental space comes with high-end features such as a lounge, a library, and a fitness center with yoga and Pilates studios.

Derek Connolly, a screenwriter who is known for his work in "Jurassic World," is listing his three-bedroom home on the market for $2.29 million in the Los Feliz enclave of L.A., at 5682 Spreading Oak Drive. The home is offered through Victoria Massengale of Compass.

Larry Silverstein, a developer, and Jenny Holzer, an artist, had different ideas about what the message of the functional sculpture of Holzer -- a blast-proof shield at the 7 World Trade Center's lobby -- should be, as what was revealed in the upcoming Builders issue of the Surface magazine.

The original building's art by Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein, Louise Nevelson, Alexander Calder and others, was lost in 9/11.

"I tend to go to the dark side of things, and [Klara and Larry Silverstein] were interested in this being a positive message of rebuilding rather than dwelling with the shades, as it were," Holzer told Surface magazine.

The real estate market is booming for super high-end rental properties with plenty of enticing options for tenants who want to taste the plush neighborhood in Manhattan, as reported by Silver Doctors.

In the area, there are about 82 apartments renting for at least $50,000 a month that were listed on StreetEasy. At lower thresholds, luxury apartments are also increasing. Apartments renting for more than $25,000 a month made up 0.95 percent of the total inventory in the first quarter of 2015, up from 0.46 percent in the same period in 2008.

The increase in rentals is partly an outgrowth of the luxury building boom that swept through New York City, and partly because of the increasing number of elites who want luxury digs without the hassle of a long-term commitment.
