Actress Cate Blanchett acquired a multi-dollar apartment in the central business district of Sydney, Australia.
The two-level home was bought by the Oscar-winning actress from businessman and The Celebrity Apprentice star, Mark Bouris. Blanchett then spent $8 million for renovations, according to House and Home.
Located in the famed Astor on Macquarie Street, the apartment boasts five bedrooms, four bathrooms, three parking spaces, and a great view of the harbor, including the Sydney Opera House.
The formal living room of the apartment on the first floor features a built-in bar and a light fixture that's repeatedly used throughout the house.
The apartment has great features of a spacious living area with numerous seating zones, an art-filled and brightly lit dining room, a grand spiral staircase that sits under a jaw-dropping chandelier in the open living space, a separate living room adjacent to the seating area, and a large kitchen.
The home also has a media room which is complete with a projector and comfy seating - perfect for relaxation for anyone who wants to watch a movie.
The informal living room of the home also offers even more space for the actress and her husband. The master bathroom is completed with floor-to-ceiling marbles.
The celebrity couple, Cate Blanchett, 46, and playwright Andrew Upton, 49, snapped up the apartment in Sydney's central business district, as reported by Daily Mail.
According to a report, the couple has acquired a sprawling five bedroom apartment at Macquarie Street's renowned The Astor Building.
The two-storey house that spans over 420 square meters was once owned by businessman and The Celebrity Apprentice star, Mark Bouris.
The walls of the apartment are lined with artwork, and the dining room walls are adorned with pictures of the iconic Marilyn Monroe.
The couple paid $10.2 million for the home ten years ago and reportedly poured $8 million dollars for the renovations of the property.
Earlier this month, the couple made headlines for placing their home on the market for a cool $20 million, according to Domain.
