Former Formula One star Eddie Irvine has joined the growing list of celebrities who have put up their homes for rent on the property rental site Airbnb.
Eddie Irvine may have retired from his racing career in 2009, but the former Formula One star truly knows how to make money in the real estate market. According to Independent, the 50-year-old Northern Irish Formula One (F1) racer has listed his Dalkey home on Airbnb.
This may come as a great news for fans who wish to live the lives of their favorite celebrities even if it's just for a day or two. In the case of Irvine's home, however, the minimum stay policy is three nights at €1200 per night or $1330.
Irvine's Dalkey home has been previously listed in the real estate market for €6.5 million or $7.204 million in 2004 and €4 million or $4.433 million in 2014; however, the property was never sold during those years.
The Dalkey home is located in the Sorrento Road, which is said to be one of the most sought-after locations in Ireland. It features an outdoor swimming pool, a Jacuzzi good for four persons and an indoor lagoon.
Irvine's net worth is currently at $120 million, The Richest reported. According to the publication, Irvine has been investing in real estate even before he began his career in racing. As of 2013, the publication noted that the F1 driver has several properties in Miami Beach and an island in Bahama's Exuma Cays.
The racing champ also owns about 50 properties, which are listed on his firm, Chrisharzoe Developments. His estimated earnings in the said year was $5 million.
Irvine began his career in Formula One in 1993. Irvine earned €40 million during his 10-year contract, which included spells with Ferrari, Jordan and Jaguar. Irvine competed on 148 races and won four of these for Ferrari.
