The famous restaurant Mr. Chow has just opened its new branch in Las Vegas. Located in the centuries-old Caesars Palace, Mr. Chow Las Vegas offers a unique dining experience to its guests with its extraordinary moving sculpture in the ceiling dubbed "The Moon" by Michael Chow, the restaurateur, designer, and artist of the Las Vegas restaurant.

Architectural Digest reports that Chow has always made it a point to conceptualize the design of each of his Mr. Chow restaurants. When he secured a place in Las Vegas with a 60-foot diameter and 35-foot-high dome, he decided to maximize the circular ceiling space and do something amazing with it; hence, "The Moon."

"The Moon" in Mr. Chow Las Vegas is a kinetic sculpture that measures 26 feet in diameter and weighs 3,800 pounds. Dangling from the ceiling, the unique structure provides dining guests a visual treat every 35 minutes, delivering "a choreographed spectacle" to the diners.

"It's basically this romantic idea of dining under the moon, but with a Close Encounters of the Third Kind twist," Chow explained. "It's made out of fiberglass-it's shiny. It looks like a whale, and when it opens up, it's like a bird. Sometimes it seems a little bit dangerous, which is good for art."

Besides the Las Vegas restaurant's unique design, guests at Mr. Chow can enjoy signature dishes such as Chicken Satay, Green Prawns, and hand-pulled Mr. Chow noodles, according to Caesars Palace Las Vegas website. Besides the signature dishes, guests can also chill out at the restaurant with its selection of premium champagne and specialty cocktails.

Mr. Chow Las Vegas opened its doors on Jan. 20. The Las Vegas restaurant can accommodate a total of 250 persons, and there are also four private dining rooms that can fit 50 guests each.
