With the end of his term coming to an end, where will President Barack Obama and his family live after staying in the White House for eight years? Former POTUSes like the Clintons stayed in New York while the Bushes settled in Texas. According to Yahoo News, Obama and his family might be coming back to New York City and settle there permanently. Sources speculate that the Obamas might enjoy the privacy the Big Apple will provide them, and aside from that, Obama, who graduated from Columbia University, might just consider the city as his home.

Meanwhile, Realtor found some of the places the other POTUSes settled in after their stay in the White House.

After leaving the White House, former President Bush returned to his adopted home in Texas. He also listed two of his properties in Dallas. President Bill Clinton, on the other hand, headed north to his home in Westchester County. It was reported that the property was purchased in 1999 for $1.7 million, and it was said that the place was purchased with the possibility of setting up a New York residency for Hilary Clinton who was at that time preparing for her run for the senate.

President George H.W. Bush purchased a plot of land in Houston, Texas with the intent of retiring in the area. President Ronald Reagan returned to his state and retired in Los Angeles' Tony Bel-Air neighborhood. Meanwhile, the house which he purchased for $2.5 million in 1986 is still the home of the 94-year-old Nancy Reagan. President Jimmy Carter, on the other hand, retired in his modest home in Plains, GA after losing his re-election bid in 1980. It was said that this was the first and only home the family owned, and they have been a permanent resident in the place since 1961. Lastly, President Gerald Ford retired in his stunning seven-bedroom Beaver Creek, CO home which is now listed for $13.5 million.
