Tribeca Film Festival co-founders Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff are unloading their Dakota apartment a year after announcing their divorce and are selling it for $39 million. According to New York Curbed, the apartment is a combination of four different apartments, making it one large unit with a total space area of 7,500 square feet.
Listing details reveal that the one-of-a-kind apartment also offers approximately 165-foot frontage of Central Park. It has two wood burning fireplaces and soaring high 11-foot ceilings.
Located on the eighth floor of the residence building, it provides stunning views of the city and is said to be the only apartment there which offers North, East and South exposures.
Acording to the Real Deal, the master bedroom has an impressive master bathroom directly overlooking Central Park. The residence has a total of five bedrooms and the floor plan will also allow the new owner to create an extraordinary kitchen.
There is also a separate apartment for the staff to use, and it can be converted into a private study or common spaces. The property offers abundant storage space in the basement, a combination of great room and formal dining room and also has a children's playroom.
Film producer Rosenthal and author Hatkoff founded the Tribeca Film Festival in 2002 with actor Robert De Niro. The couple lived in the exclusive Upper West Side apartment for nearly two decades before their divorce.
Hatkoff received a subpoena in 2014 as part of the racial discrimination suit filed against the co-op board by the hedge fund manager Alphonse "Buddy" Fletcher, but the suit was later dismissed.
Meanwhile, the building is best known for being the home for many celebrities like John Lennon and Lauren Bacall. Judy Garland's nine-bedroom apartment at the building is also in the market for $16.7 million.
