Frank Lloyd Wright is currently selling his apartment inside the Plaza Hotel in New York City. According to Elle Décor, the apartment is where Wright lived while he was in the Big Apple designing the Guggenheim Museum.
The property boasts four bedrooms and three and a half bath corner suite. It was formerly being sold at $26 million, but whoever wishes to purchase it now may do so for only $13.5 million.
According to 6sqft.com, other apartments in Plaza Hotel are currently on sale too but are asking for a much higher price. This means that Wright's apartment is a huge steal.
Meanwhile, the current owners of the apartment purchased it from Wright in 2009, and they regutted and redesigned the entire apartment. At present, the property has a Murano-glass chandelier, customized moldings, and an artwork which was designed by Willem de Koonig and Jean Dubuffet. The property also has a 13-feet ceiling, a Jacuzzi, and breathtaking views of Central Park and Madison Avenue.
Purchasing the apartment in Plaza Hotel also means that the new owners will be able to have access to a 24-hour doorman, maid services, valet parking, fitness center, hair salon and spa.
If you are thinking of purchasing a place that's unique, safe and already fully-furnished, you might want to set your sights on this one. What's great about the Plaza Hotel is that it is a famed place, and people living in the hotel are those who also prioritize the same things.
On the downside, the apartment may be a little bit costly for you. However, remember that compared to other units in this hotel, Wright's former house is already considered to be cheap. Again, it's already a huge steal, and you can be the property's new owner to say the least.
