Some houses are sold at truly expensive prices, but did you know that you can buy an entire town for just $8 million? According to Elle Décor, a whole town in Nevada is currently being sold for just $8 million. The original asking price was $9, but it was recently reduced.

Cal Nev Ari is located 70 miles south of Vegas off U.S. Highway 95. The town was founded by Nancy Kidwell and her late husband back in 1965.

After acquiring the 640-acres of land from the federal government, the couple put up a sign urging passersby to watch out and see them grow into a full-blown town. At present, Kidwell is already 78 years old, and she's ready to pass on the town to its next rightful owner. Back in 2010, Kidwell already tried selling the property for $17 million, but no one seemed interested in buying it.

Now that the price has been slashed off, Kidwell is also including the town's casino, diner, convenience store, 10-room motel, RV park and mile-long airstrip into the pool.

Meanwhile, it is important to know that Cal Nev Ari doesn't have any paved roads, but the price was designed as such because of the land where it currently sits on.

According to the Associated Press, the prospective buyers who have been showing interest in purchasing Cal Nev Ari are those who are also interested in having a motorsports park, a dude ranch and more. Not included in the price listing are the residential houses, the community center, and the volunteer fire station.

If you are interested in owning a town in Nevada, then this one could be the best one for you. Not only is it considered relatively cheap for everything that it can offer. It is also a safe place to retire in.
