Actor George Clooney and Rande Gerber have unloaded their Los Cabos compound to a Mexican billionaire. The two reportedly earned $100 million for the property.
According to TMZ, Clooney and Gerber's homes were called Casamigos (House of Friends), which is the name of their "super popular tequila." The two homes are adjacent and were the last properties designed by the late architect Ricardo Legoretta. The two men, along with their wives Amal Alamuddin and Cindy Crawford, are reportedly planning to build an "even more spectacular compound" in Cabo.
Pop Sugar reports that the two vacation homes are a testament of the closeness of Clooney and his business partner Gerber as well as his wife Crawford. The two vacation homes sit side by side and are located in an oceanfront compound.
The report states that both celebrity homes have pools and a beautiful terrace where the friends can hang out, eat, or enjoy the stunning views. George's home features a spacious bar area which features a huge flat screen TV. The houses also feature wood ceilings, beams and brise-soleils. The home also features enormous bedrooms and other lavish amenities.
"Using wood was something we pushed for. It's not the material the Legorretas are best known for, but we wanted the warmth," Crawford told Architectural Digest which featured the homes back in 2013.
According to The Richest, George Clooney has a net worth of $180 million. He is an award-winning actor, director, producer and screen writer. He is best known for the "Ocean's Eleven" franchise, and he has won various awards including an Academy Award and three Golden Globes.
