While everyone is getting ecstatic over the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus and the category-intrusive Apple Watch with programmatic TapSense, the tech giant, Apple, is set to blaze the euphoria even more as it is rumored to release iPad Pro anytime soon.
The iPad Pro is a larger version of iPad Air with a display of 12.2 to 12.9 inches, according to Macrumors. It is speculated to be released anytime this year, and as a norm in the tech world, rumors in specs, release date, and price are all over the internet.
With its whooping size that could possibly go up to 13 inches, iPad Pro is going to be Apple's largest tablet, unseating the 9.7 inch iPad Air 2 and even dwarfing the 7.9 inch iPad Mini 3. But wait until you see because bigger size does not automatically translate to being "spectacular" in a technological point of view. Note that even though iPad mini 3 is smaller as compared to iPad Pro, it has Retina display that makes the experience much more satisfying.
So, what can we expect from iPad Pro? Here is a synthesis of what we know about this new Apple invention, including five features that everyone should watch out for:
Release Date: There isn't any conclusive date as to when it will be released but Value Walk reports that the iPad Pro will be out in the market in April this year, together with the alleged iPad Mini Pro. If this is true, the long wait is just several months more ahead.
Price: There is no direct announcement as to how much it would cost an average customer; but an "estimated" price can be deduced from looking at the prices of its predecessors: the iPad Air and the MacBook Air.
The price of the iPad Pro is postulated to be the average of the launching prices of iPad Air and MacBook Air. Let's say, it would range from $400 - $700 depending on the model: 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB. But again, there are no confirmation if Apple would release iPad Pro in all these models.
Features: Definitely, Apple isn't new to surprising its customers, especially when it comes to design and features so the iPad Pro may have some other features that will not be included here, but there are ones that are likely to manifest in this new amazing gadget:
1. Display. As already mentioned, the iPad Pro will have a screen size of 12.2 to 12.9 inches with a resolution of 2732 x 2048 and 265 pixels per inch, according to Macrumors. There are rumors that it will even have a higher pixel density than that of the iPad Air 2.
2. Design. Thin chassis and narrow side bezels are expected in the design. It will also incorporate many of the iPad Air's features. However, there are speculations that it would be much thinner, perhaps at around 7mm thick -- that makes it thinner than the iPhone 6 at 7.1 mm. There are also rumors that this new device will include microphones and speakers both at the top and at the bottom of it, reports Macrumors.
3. Processor and RAM: iPad Pro could use a triple-core A8X processor, the same as that of the iPad Air 2. This processor will offer more than 50 per cent speed, better than that of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. It will also have a 2GB RAM.
4. Wi-Fi Related Features: It will include an 802.11 ac adapter, which is two times faster than a Wireless N adapter; LTE Connection Speed is expected to be at 120 Mbps. It may also integrate features like gyroscope, accelerometer, GPS, barometer, Face Time HD Camera, and a Touch ID, that allows unlocking of the device by use of fingerprints, Macrumors shares.
5. Operating System: Most likely, the iPad Pro will also use iOS 8, Apple's state-of-the-art OS, which was only released last September. And this will also enable users to do split-screen multitasking. However, there are rumors that it may also use an iOS 9 operating system, but that is still in question.
