Motorola will be launching three new devices soon, if previous reports are to be believed. Interestingly, rumors took note of a new Moto X, new Moto G and new Droid phablet, set to arrive in 2015.
Moto X 3G
Last year, TechnoBuffalo cited a particular rumor, which claimed that the company has already designed a new Moto X. Although not specified, the device was said to launch this year, and following Motorola's naming scheme, it could be the third-generation Moto X.
It may be safe to say that the second-generation Moto X has been one of 2014's strongest products, but it didn't come without flaws. Android Pit hoped that the 2015 Moto X addresses its predecessor's issues, including concerns in battery, camera and screen. In addition, the former device had no stereo speakers and microSD slot for memory expansion, so these are things that would be nice to pack in the upcoming model.
The 2015 Moto X is expected to arrive in September, Phone Arena noted. The outlet also expressed curiosity as to what the device would bring, considering that Lenovo has already acquired Motorola.
MOTO E 2G
Another Motorola device eyed by the public is the second-generation Moto E. Last month, Gadget Gossip took note of a benchmark testing assumed to be the new smartphone.
According to the outlet, the new Moto E was rumored to have a 4.5-inch QHD display, Corning Gorilla glass screen, 5 MP rear camera, front camera (megapixel unspecified), quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, and support for 4G LTE, microSD and Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The handset's main camera was also said to feature an LED flash and Auto-Focus. In terms of price, the above source predicted that the new Moto E could come at $115.
Droid Phablet
A Droid-version of the Nexus 6 is expected to unveil this year, Digital Trends reported. According to the report, the device will likely bring similar specs found in the first Nexus 6. As you may already know, the existing device has a whopping screen size of nearly 6 inches, which fairly puts it under the phablet classification.
Digital Trends noted that the new Droid phablet might have the similar 5.9-inch QHD display, housing a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Other rumored specs include Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 4000mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop support.
At the time of reporting, the outlet is uncertain whether camera upgrade may be expected. However, the original Nexus 6 had its main camera at 13 MP, while it took a front snapper worth 2 MP.
